Most services at medical institutions are not available on regular holidays.
In Japan, there are long holidays during the Bon period in summer (8/13
- 8/15) and the New Year period (12/29 - 1/3). If you are in need of a
hospital during a holiday period, there are emergency medical centers available.
These centers do not usually have foreign language support, so we recommend
that you are accompanied by a person who understands Japanese.
