This website is produced by Fukuoka International Association, an organization affiliated to Fukuoka City, in order to provide medical information for foreign residents in the urban area of Fukuoka.
This site includes some essential information, such as a list of medical institutions where foreign language capability is available, consultation application forms to present at medical institutions, and examples of useful situational dialogues.

2.Medical institutions with foreign language capability
We sent a survey to approx. 3,500 places registered as medical institutions in the Fukuoka urban area, and listed those that answered “foreign language capability available” in the guidebook. The level of language proficiency is self-evaluated by each institution, and is as follows: “Level 1:Available for the basic conversational level,” “Level 2:Available for basic medical consultations,” and “Level 3:Available for more in-depth consultation.” We have indicated the doctors’ sex due to a large demands for an information about female doctors by the female residents. This data is current as of October 2003. This survey was conducted in co-operation with Fukuoka City Medical Association, Fukuoka Dental Association, Munakata Medical Association, Munakata Dental Association, Munakata Health, Welfare, and Environment Office, Chikushi Medical Association, Chikushi Dental Association, Chikushi Health, Welfare, and Environment Office, Kasuya Medical Association, Kasuya Dental Association, Kasuya Health, Welfare, and Environment Office, Itoshima Medical Association, Itoshima Dental Association, and Itoshima Health, Welfare, and Environment Office.
